Curbside Pickup Now Available

Aug. 05, 2020
Hanna Municipal Library is pleased to offer Curbside Pickup to patrons in Hanna and area.

It is once again possible to place holds and bring items in from other libraries in The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC). Patrons can request items by visiting tracpac.ab.ca, sending us an email, or calling us at 403-854-3865.

The Library will contact patrons via phone or email when their items arrive at the library and arrange a curbside pickup time. Curbside Pickup appointments are currently available on Wednesday from 2pm-4pm and Fridays from 10am-12pm.

Library items can be returned to the Library in our external book drop. Loan periods will be set to three weeks upon checkout. Late fees are currently suspended.

If you need a library card, memberships are currently free! Please complete our online Library Membership Registration Form.

Recent testing conducted by the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), the Institute of Musuem and Library Services, and Batelle, as part of their Reopening Archives, Libraries, and Museums (REALM) COVID-19 Research Project, found that SARS-CoV-2 virus was not detectable on common library materials – such as hard and soft covered books and plastic DVD cases – after three days for quarantine. Hanna Municipal Library has been quarantining all returned items for at least 72 hours since first closing its doors to the public on March 16 and will continue to do so going forward.

Please note that as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we may need to cancel/postpone our Curbside Service without notice.
